Terms & Conditions – Carpet Repairs London

1. Introduction

 

 

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Carpet Repairs London (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

 

 

 

2. Services

 

 

We provide specialist carpet repair services including:

 

  • Carpet patching and replacement sections

  • Burn, stain, and iron mark repairs

  • Seam repair and re-joining

  • Carpet re-stretching and wrinkle removal

  • Pet damage restoration

  • Insurance and landlord repair work

  • Same-day services (subject to availability)

 

 

All services are subject to inspection and feasibility.

 

 

 

3. Quotations and Pricing

 

 

  • Quotes are based on the information and images provided

  • Final pricing may change after on-site inspection

  • Additional work will not be carried out without your approval

  • Prices are in GBP (£) and may include VAT where applicable

  • Same-day services may incur a premium charge

  • A £40 deposit is required to confirm and finalise your booking

  • Bookings are not secured until the deposit has been received

  • The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice

  • Deposits must be paid via bank transfer or other agreed method

 

 

 

 

4. Bookings and Appointments

 

 

  • Bookings must be confirmed in advance with the required deposit

  • Time slots are provided as arrival windows, not exact times

  • We aim to be punctual but cannot guarantee exact arrival times

  • You must provide safe and clear access to the work area

 

 

 

 

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

 

 

  • A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required

  • Cancellations within 72 hours will result in loss of deposit

  • Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 50% of the job value

  • No-shows may be charged up to 100% of the agreed price

  • If we are unable to access the property, or the job cannot proceed due to client-related issues, the deposit will be forfeited

 

 

 

 

6. Payment Terms

 

 

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing

  • Accepted methods: cash, bank transfer, or agreed method

  • Late payments may incur interest in line with UK law

 

 

 

 

7. Client Responsibilities

 

 

You agree to:

 

  • Provide accurate information about the carpet and damage

  • Ensure the work area is clear and accessible

  • Remove fragile or valuable items

  • Keep pets and children away during work

  • Inform us of any hazards

 

 

Failure to comply may result in delays or additional charges.

 

 

 

8. Workmanship & Results Disclaimer

 

 

  • Carpet repair is a specialist service, not full restoration

  • Results vary depending on carpet age, wear, and material

  • A fully invisible repair cannot be guaranteed

 

 

 

 

9. Guarantee

 

 

  • We provide a 6-month workmanship guarantee

  • Covers faults directly related to our work only

  • Does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or new damage

 

 

 

 

10. Damage and Claims

 

 

  • Any issues must be reported within 48 hours

  • We must be given the opportunity to inspect and rectify

  • Failure to report within this time may void claims

 

 

 

 

11. Limitation of Liability

 

 

  • Liability is limited to the value of the service provided

  • We are not responsible for:

     

    • Pre-existing damage

    • Colour mismatch due to ageing

    • Indirect or consequential losses

     

 

 

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

 

 

12. Indemnity

 

 

You agree to indemnify us against any claims resulting from:

 

  • Incorrect information provided

  • Unsafe working conditions

  • Third-party interference

 

 

 

 

13. Insurance & Landlord Work

 

 

  • We can provide reports for insurance claims if required

  • Approval is the responsibility of the client/insurer

  • Payment remains the responsibility of the booking party

 

 

 

 

14. Health and Safety

 

 

We comply with all UK health and safety regulations and may refuse work if conditions are unsafe.

 

 

 

15. Privacy (GDPR)

 

 

  • We handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR

  • Your information is used only for service delivery

  • We do not share your data unless required by law

 

 

 

 

16. Force Majeure

 

 

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g. weather, traffic, illness).

 

 

 

17. Governing Law

 

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

 

 

18. Amendments

 

 

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
